Some information about the project.
St Malachy’s, Belfast is the 3rd Oldest Catholic Church in Belfast. Designed in the ecclesiastical style of the tudor period by Thomas Jackson. The foundation stone was laid on the feast of Saint Malachy, November 3rd 1841.
Description of works
An extensive stonework project was carried out to the award winning project which involved taking down all 8 number stone towers, and restoring and rebuilding them. Extensive work was carried out to the window and door elements of the church. A new disabled access was constructed involving new carved stone detail. The church is the focal point to the local community and was brought back to it’s original condition.
