About Us

Rathmoyle House, Co.Down

Clarke Restoration has been involved in the stone and restoration industry for over 30 years and has developed a wide range of skills in all aspects of stone masonry and have been involved in the restoring and conserving of some of our heritage’s more precious buildings and monuments.

To keep our historic heritage alive and functioning for the next generation we believe in the sympathetic approach to the restoration and conservation of those historic structures.

Pressure Pointing
Pressure pointing can be carried out using hand held pointing guns or by a machine pumping the mortar through a hose with hand control valve. It is ideal for the replacement of water eroded or defective joints which have been raked out ready for the application.
Pressure Grouting
Pressure grouting is the name given for the injection of a liquid grout, resin or suspension into voids under pressure. The product sets in the form of a solid or gel to fill the voids.
Brickwork and Stonework Pointing
Pointing is the process of filling the outer part of the joints between masonry units with mortar. For brickwork and stonework the width, profile and texture of the joints affect their visual character. Often these respond to locally available materials and can have a local distinctiveness.
DOFF System
DOFF is a steam based stone cleaning system. It’s unlike any other steam system and can achieve temperatures of up to 150°C at the nozzle end – making it a ‘superheated water system’. The operator is able to vary the temperature and pressure to remove many different types of paint and biological matter.
