Clarke Restoration has been involved in the stone and restoration industry for over 30 years and has developed a wide range of skills in all aspects of stone masonry and have been involved in the restoring and conserving of some of our heritage’s more precious buildings and monuments.
To keep our historic heritage alive and functioning for the next generation we believe in the sympathetic approach to the restoration and conservation of those historic structures.

From a heritage perspective it is widely acknowledged these buildings should be cherished. Like us, buildings will age and their life can only be prolonged with proper care, treatment and maintenance, our services to these include lime pointing, stone masonry repairs, cleaning and rendering.

Stone Carving & Repairs
At Clarke Restoration we can repair or replace missing original stone carvings. Our understanding of the architectural periods of the buildings, ensures authentic repair.
As with all our projects, Clarke Restoration brings a high standard of workmanship using both tradition and progressive techniques to achive the highest standards of historical restoration.
Matching Old & New
With our knowledge and understanding of historical buildings we can create and repair stonework that is missing or badly damaged due to the environment or vandalisium.
Using a simpathetic approach and traditional methods we restore the missing or damaged stonework so that it is compatible with the surrounding building.
Clarke Restoration are delighted to have being appointed as the specialist Masonry Contractor to carry out the Restoration Works at the Grade A listed Killeavy Castle Co Armagh. The Gothic style Castle was built in the year 1837 by renowned Dublin Architect George Papworth. Clarke Restorations works will be in two phases, the first will be extensive stone works to the Castle followed by restoration works to the Grade B+ listed Coach House & Mill. On full completion the Castle, Coach House & Mill will form part of a 4 star luxury hotel and wellness centre.

Clarke Restoration has now completed its specialist masonry restoration works at The Grand Opera House Belfast.Works to include:
1. Complete cleaning of all paint works from the outer fabric of the building using our Doff & Torc cleaning systems.
2. Repointing of sections of brick and stone works throughout the building.
3. Concrete Repairs to sections of the building.
4. Cut out and replace bricks through out the building.
